I think I have made enough mugs to have a proper mulled wine party! The blue one in front is a brand new one.

My favourite aquamarine colour on the three little bowls that look like three sisters, which made me think of The Three Sisters by Chekhov, something I read a long time but remember this quote (probably because it is about birds and flying):

“Not only after two or three centuries, but in a million years, life will still be as it was; life does not change, it remains for ever, following its own laws which do not concern us, or which, at any rate, you will never find out. Migrant birds, cranes for example, fly and fly, and whatever thoughts, high or low, enter their heads, they will still fly and not know why or where. They fly and will continue to fly, whatever philosophers come to life among them; they may philosophize as much as they like, only they will fly....”

Going gold again - a boat-shaped golden and black bowl, which can also serve as a vase.

Autumnal garden offers lovely background for some new golden birds.

13 September 2016

Whenever I lack inspiration, I make a new bird... hence, two new fat red birds sitting on the ground and on my car on the way back from the ceramic studio tonight!

14 July 2016

A new platter with black, white, aquamarine, metallic blue and red glazes... I mean it was supposed to be red but came out sort of brownish:-) You can't always have what you want...

26 May 2016

Colourful little seashell-like dishes that I was planning to use for serving seafood. For the time being they serve as imitation of the seaside in my garden.

20 May 2016

Ah, the aquamarine glaze is absolutely beautiful. This bird was made of red clay and the colour of the glaze is quite different than when put on white clay. This is what I like about ceramics: you can never be sure what you are going to get after the piece gets fired:-) Quite thrilling!

A whirly bowl. I used some golden, aquamarine and black glazes. The golden one turned brownish though. You can't always get what you want:-)

Aquamarine bird. I am not very happy with the shape but I love the aquamarine glaze!

6 May 2016

There is a new bird sitting in my sunny garden today. I've covered it with golden and black glazes.

A new bird in my garden. Golden and black glaze.

1 May 2016

A new lemon squeezer with black glaze outside. Hope to keep this one for myself as all the others became presents

A pomegranate looks good in a red and black bowl:-)

12 February 2016

New work in progress. Just dry clay, painted and waiting for firing.

31 January 2016

I used the same glaze but the outcome was totally different with the bowl and the moose (been wondering why the plural of moose is moose, not meese, like goose and geese... English language is not logical at all)
